Dehumidifiers are used primarily during the summer months and in damp and humid locations such as basements. Keep the windows and doors closed while trying to dehumidify a specific area. Using a dehumidifier in such areas will greatly improve the air quality, discourage the growth of mold and mildew and damage to building components.
Periodic Dehumidifier Service Always ensure equipment is shut off electrically before attempting any maintenance. If you are not comfortable performing the maintenance, contact a qualified heating and cooling technician to do the work.
